General questions about Tweetycam

How many cameras can I connect with the Tweetycam monitor?

You can connect up to four (4) cameras to one monitor, placed anywhere inside your home.

The split-screen function on the baby monitor allows you to see two cameras at a time on the large 5' screen.

If you have more cameras, you can switch between the other cameras (e.g. cameras 3 and 4) with the simple press of the OK button on your monitor.

How many cameras can I view on the Tweetycam monitor at once?

The split-screen mode on your Tweetycam allows you to see two cameras at a time on the large 5' screen. If you have more cameras, you can switch between the additional cameras (e.g. cameras 3 and 4) with the simple press of the OK button.

With scan mode active, the monitor switches from camera to camera so you will hear the sound from each camera at 15-second intervals, ie. Camera 1: scans for sound for 15 seconds, monitor automatically switches to Camera 2: scans for sound for 15 seconds, and continues to scan like this in a loop between all cameras.

What’s the best way to monitor multiple rooms when using more than one camera?

Split-screen mode shows two camera feeds on the screen at the same time. If you have more cameras, you can switch between the additional cameras (e.g. cameras 3 and 4) with the simple press of the OK button.

With scan mode turned on, the active sound switches from camera to camera, so you can hear the sound from each camera at 15-second intervals.

What is the range of Tweetycam?

One of the great features of Tweetycam is that it gives you wireless coverage of up to 200 meters or 660 feet (without obstruction). Depending on your home environment, this range may vary. 

Some factors that could negatively affect the range of your Tweetycam connection are: the number of walls in your home, their thickness (including double-brick walls), and potential interference from nearby high-frequency output devices.

Tweetycam has been tried and tested in a range of Australian homes.

Tweetycam's camera view angle, zoom and pan:

Our Tweetycam camera rotates 360 degrees, controlled in real-time from the baby monitor, with a wide-angle view of 60 degrees. Additionally, the Tweetycam camera has 2x and 4x zoom capability.

How does the Tweetycam night vision work?

Our Tweetycam camera is equipped with Infrared LED, invisible to the human eye and your little one, that gives you clear vision in complete darkness on the 5’ monitor.

Can I hear audio from more than one camera at the same time?

No, the Tweetycam monitor plays audio from only one camera at a time.

If you are using split-screen mode, you will still only hear sound from the selected camera, highlighted by a thin green border. You can listen to the other camera by pressing OK on your monitor; the green border will switch to the other feed. 

If you would like to monitor sound from multiple cameras automatically, you can activate scan mode, which switches from camera to camera every 15 seconds, allowing you to hear the sound from each camera feed on rotation.

How do I activate split-screen mode?

Split-screen displays two camera feeds on your screen at the same time. To access split-screen mode, press the Menu button on your monitor and navigate to the split-screen icon. Press OK, then select either Single or Split.

Can I turn off the Tweetycam monitor and sound when I want to sleep?

Yes! Tweetycam’s VOX feature (our voice activation feature which detects noise in your baby’s room) has three settings (Low, Medium, and High), allowing you to set the level of noise sensitivity that will activate both the monitor and sound. If no noise is detected the monitor will go into sleep mode, saving battery life and sleep time.

If you want to have the screen on all the time, just turn VOX off.

Does Tweetycam have voice detection? What about motion detection?

Tweetycam uses sound detection rather than motion detection.

Tweetycam’s VOX feature (our voice activation feature which detects noise in your baby’s room) has three activation settings (Low, Medium, and High), allowing you to set the level of noise sensitivity that will activate both the monitor and sound. If no noise is detected, the monitor will go into sleep mode.

Can you adjust alerts on Tweetycam for the room temperature?

Yes. Tweetycam allows you to create the perfect ambience for your baby when you select a minimum and maximum temperature threshold on your monitor. If the temperature of your baby’s room moves above or below these pre-set temperature thresholds, you will be alerted by the monitor.

How safe is Tweetycam against hackers?

Tweetycam uses FHSS technology. This means that our product is a wireless device that works without Wi-Fi and does not rely on Wi-Fi to transmit signals. Our FHSS monitor subdivides the 2.4GHz frequency band into sub-frequencies from which a signal is transmitted from the camera to the monitor.

Tweetycam's secure system was designed so that hackers are unable to intercept the communication between the cameras and the monitor. FHSS technology works by quickly changing the channel the camera and receiver are using to communicate. Doing so randomly makes it difficult for anyone to casually encounter Tweetycam's signal and listen in or watch.

Does Tweetycam have a phone app?

Tweetycam uses FHSS technology. This means that our product is a wireless device that works without Wi-Fi and does not rely on Wi-Fi to transmit signals. Our product does not use Wi-fi, does not connect to the internet, and does not have a phone app.

Tweetycam's secure system was designed so that hackers are unable to intercept the communication between the cameras and the monitor. Instead of an app you get peace of mind knowing you and your baby are fully protected at all times.

How long can I expect the battery on the monitor to last?

Our 5000 mAh battery can last up to 12 hours.

You will get between 8 to 12 hours of battery depending on your usage (screen brightness, night vision, lullabies, number of cameras connected, etc).

Can I change the battery in the Tweetycam monitor?

No, the battery in the monitor is non-replaceable.

Does the Tweetycam camera have a battery?

No, the camera does not have a built-in battery meaning it must be plugged in for use. However, you may use it off-grid by plugging it into the PowerPack, which is a clip-on rechargeable power source (sold separately). Doing so allows you to set up your Tweetycam camera where there are no nearby outlets available.

Does your flexi-mount come with the Tweetycam camera/monitor pack?

No, the Flexi-Mount is not included in the standard baby monitor set. However, it is available for purchase separately, or as part of a discounted bundle.

Can I fix the Tweetycam camera to a wall?

Yes, a wall mount and 2 screws are included with your camera purchase.

Why did I not receive a wall mount with my baby monitor?

A wall mount and two (2) screws are included with every Tweetycam baby monitor set and are typically included in the camera unit’s packaging. Because the wall mount is a small piece, it often falls behind the packaging inserts, which is the first place we advise customers to check.

Why did I only receive one strap with my Floor Stand?

Each Floor Stand includes two (2) straps designed to secure your power cables to the stand. These straps can be found inside the Safety Sleeve box, and are closely attached to each other as they are made of fastening material. They can be peeled apart, and they’re ready for individual use.

I have an older version of the Tweetycam baby monitor. Can I purchase accessories for it?

Yes, all of our accessories are compatible with older versions of the Tweetycam baby monitor, except for the Protective Case, which is compatible only with the latest versions of the Tweetycam parent unit (monitor). 

Can my older Tweetycam monitor pair with a newer camera?

Yes, all versions of Tweetycam monitors can pair with all existing newer versions of our cameras, and vice versa.

What are the shipping options?

We offer free standard shipping across Australia for orders over $90. Express shipping is also available at checkout for faster delivery.

Please note: all orders to New Zealand ship via Express by default.

How long will the delivery of my order take?

Shipping times will depend on your location. The shipping estimates below will give you an idea of when you should expect your Tweetycam to arrive:

Express Delivery:

  • Australia wide: 1–3 business days
  • New Zealand: 3–7 business days

Standard Delivery (Australia only):

  • Australia wide: 1–10 business days

Please note: Tracking does not always update while items are in transit between depots (e.g. Brisbane/Sydney to Perth) but rest assured, your order is on its way!

During peak periods (November through end of December), please allow an extra two business days on top of the estimated delivery time.

How do I track my order?

Once your order has been shipped we will send you a shipping confirmation which will include a tracking number.

Do you ship worldwide?

We currently ship to Australia and New Zealand only.

Why hasn't my tracking updated since my order was picked up?

The tracking does not update when items are in transit between depots (e.g. from Brisbane/Sydney to Perth). It will update once the item is processed in the receiving depot.

What do I do if I never received my order?

The first step is to track your order using the unique tracking number sent to you in your shipping confirmation email.

If there's no delivery information available, or you haven't received a shipping confirmation, please email us at support@tweetycam.com.au. If you've already reached out to your courier, please share any relevant correspondence when you email us. It'll help us resolve things faster.

How do I make changes to an order I've already placed?

If you want to make changes to your order please email support@tweetycam.com.au with your order details as soon as possible, and one of our customer service assistants will amend your order if it has not already been dispatched for delivery.

If your order has already been dispatched we are unable to make any amendments.

What if I didn’t receive an order confirmation email?

Oops. Sorry for the inconvenience. Please kindly email us at support@tweetycam.com.au, and one of our friendly customer service assistants will help you get to the bottom of the issue. It would help us a lot if you included in the email your order number (if you took note of it), the email you used to make your purchase, and your full name.

My product arrived damaged/ defective, what do I do?

If your product has arrived in a damaged or defective state, please email us at support@tweetycam.com.au with your order details and a full description of the damage or defect as soon as possible. We may also request photos of the damaged items. One of our customer support assistants will be in touch to walk you through the resolution process.

How do I make a return?

For all returns, please visit our return policy and email us at support@tweetycam.com.au to commence your return.

Please make sure you have read and fully understand our return and refund policies before returning your product.

Warranty

Are your products covered under warranty?

Yes, all of our products are covered under a 12 Month Warranty.

What do I do if I have a warranty claim?

If your product has a fault that occurs within 12 months from the date you received the product, please visit our Return and Refund Policy page, and email us at support@tweetycam.com.au to commence the return process and receive either a full refund or product exchange.

Who pays for the return shipping in case of warranty?

Tweetycam will cover the cost of return postage in the case of a warranty claim.
